Work Experience (J.s. Huang)

Senior Researcher Engineer, ESD Lab, Beijing Institute of E&M Technology, China, Jul.2003-present

  • Test the Effects of ESD on different high speed electronic equipment
  • Research on the ESD Simulator current and real Human-Metal Model ESD
  • Design the new ESD Generator to simulator the real ESD

Visiting Researcher, EMC lab, University of Missouri-Rolla, USA, Sep.2002 - Jul.2003

  • Test the ESD current for different ESD simulators
  • Test the ESD induced voltage on the loop and the monopole
  • Test the ESD susceptibility of computers with different CUP & auto switches.
  • Designed and developed the High Voltage(35kV) Transmission Line Pulse Generator.

Duties: Theoretical and experimental investigations of ESD current, radiated electric and magnetic fields, induced voltage and ESD susceptibility of high speed computers. Test the ESD current for different ESD simulators. compared results with that of the IEC61000-4-2 standard. Test the ESD induced voltage on the loop and the monopole. The results show that the induced voltage has little relationship with the ESD current. The duration of the induced voltage is about 5 ns and very shorter than that of the ESD current which last more than 100 ns. Test the ESD susceptibility of computers with different CUP & auto switches. Designed and developed the High Voltage Transmission Line Pulse Generator.
Achievements: Three papers published or accepted for publication in the proceedings of 2003 EMC symposium, 2003 IEEE-ESA meeting and IEEE Tras. EMC. Two reports submitted in the EMC lab, University of Missouri-Rolla.
