Arnold Steinman,
Glen Zamania and Guan Wei came to Beijing to meet Dr. Js Huang to discuss the ESD
seminar and training program in Beijing, China. The
training session
is about "ESD Control in Hi-Tech Manufacturing" which includes:
1. Basic ESD Physics
2. ESD problems in Hi-Tech manufacture
3. ESD damage models
4. ESD Control
5. Standards
6. Ionization in Hi Tech manufactures
7. Demonstration of ionization and testing.
and some demonstrates ESD products such as ionizers, instruments, ESD simulator etc in the workshop.
Dr. Huang with Arnold Steinman (left)is Chief Technology Officer for Ion Systems Inc., Berkeley, CA, responsible since 1983 for the design concepts of the company's ionization static control products. He holds four patents covering air ionizer technology. Steinman graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, receiving both BSEE and MSEE degrees. Steinman has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the ESD Association and chairperson of the Ionization Standards Committee. Steinman is also a senior member of the Institute of Environmental Sciences, a contributor to IES standard RP-22, "Electrostatic Charge in Cleanrooms and Controlled Environments", and a member of the Electrostatics Society of America. He currently serves as leader of the SEMI ESD Task Force,which has produced E78-0998 - "Guide for Measuring Static Charge on Objects and Surfaces." He was the SEMI representative on static control to the International Roadmap for Semiconductors.

Dr. Wei Guan is a Technology Manager in Asia Pacific Region for company Ion
Systems which is providing ionization products for IT industry - semiconductor,
HDD and FPD etc. The company locates in Berkeley California. I am in charge of
technical issues in Singapore, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. More information
